  • Dr Ann-Marie Cox – Female, MB ChB MRCGP DRCOG
    I trained at Bristol University and qualified in 1991 and have been a partner since 1996. I enjoy being part of a team that works hard to provide high quality care for patients. I am married to Richard and have 2 school age children. I enjoy singing/mountain walking/church life and time with my family. I am happy to see young and old, but am particularly interested in gynaecology, family planning. I am one of 2 coil fitters in the practice. I also oversee our on-call rotas and surgery appointment provision as well as providing oversight for our medical software.
  • Dr Elissa Goodrum– Female, MBBS MRCGP
    I qualified from Guy’s Hospital in 1987. I started working at Leckhampton in 2000 and became a partner in 2009. I am married to a local doctor and have three children. I have a special interest in pain management including acupuncture. I care for patients in a local intermediate care centre in their transition from hospital to home, and am responsible for the care of patients in a local nursing home. I initiated the Leckhampton patient participation group which provides beneficial feedback to our surgery.
  • Dr Nick Hall – Male, BSc MBBS DRCOG
    I qualified from University College London in 2007. After further training in Salisbury and Gloucester hospitals followed by General practice training I worked in several Gloucestershire practices as a GP locum before taking up a partnership with the Leckhampton Surgery in 2012. My medical interests include ENT, joint injections and headache. As a partner I have responsibilities for the management of mental health, epilepsy, infection control and I am the practice prescribing lead.
  • Dr Iona Hay – Female,MA (Cantab) MBBS MRCGP(2013) DRCOG DFSRH
    I qualified from Kings College London in 2008 and have been working in Gloucestershire ever since. I completed my final year of General Practice training at Leckhampton Surgery and later became a partner in 2014. I am delighted to be working permanently in a practice which so evidently strives to provide excellent care for patients. I live in Cheltenham and in my spare time enjoy participating in church life and running a local Girl Guide group. I enjoy the variety and surprise of General Practice and I am particularly interested in respiratory medicine. I also train GP Registrars at the practice and enjoy the educational side that this brings.
  • Dr Ben Lees – Male,MB BChir MA Hons (cantab) DCH MRCGP
    Dr Lees joined the surgery in 2015, after completing his training in General Practice locally in Gloucestershire. He enjoys a role as the Practice Lead for Care Homes and is the named clinician for the residents of a local Dementia Care Home. He is passionate about helping people to improve their own health and happiness whilst minimising human impact on the planet.  Dr Lees lives locally with his wife and three children; when not at work, he enjoys a variety of sports and outdoor pursuits.
  • Dr Richard Hiskens – Male, BSc MSc PhD MBChB (2014)
    I qualified in 2009 from Warwick University having initially trained as a Cell Biologist. I completed further training in hospital medicine in the West Midlands before undertaking General Practice roles in Bidford on Avon and Evesham. My areas of particular medical interest are cancer and palliative care, along with clinical research. I live in nearby village with my partner and our two children and my interests outside of medicine involve several sports, especially rugby and football.
  • Dr Alison Ellis –  Female, MBChB MRCGP DRCOG DFSRH DipTLHP I qualified from The University of Edinburgh in 2008 and have been working in the South West ever since. I trained as a GP in Gloucestershire and took up a partnership at Leckhampton Surgery in 2021. I have an interest in women’s health and family planning. I fit coils and contraceptive implants at the practice. I live in Cheltenham with my husband, two children and Dog. In my spare time I enjoy a range of activities including music, walking and cycling.
  • Dr Sarah Bowcock – Female, MBBCh MRCGP
    I graduated from Cardiff University in 2012 and completed my junior doctor training in 2014. Following on from this, I moved to Australia for 3 years where I worked in A&E in a little coastal town called Port Macquarie in NSW. This was a fantastic experience and allowed me to gain further experience in all aspects of medicine. In 2018, I decided that a long-term career in General Practice was right for me, and I moved to Cheltenham where I have stayed ever since. My final year of GP training was based at Leckhampton Surgery and on successfully completing my GP training in 2020 I joined the practice on a permanent basis as a Salaried GP.
    I love the wide variety of patients and clinical cases that General Practice brings. I am specifically interested in women’s and child health.
    Outside of work, I enjoy running, paddle boarding and going out for country walks.
